I constantly fear the question What do you do for a living?
The honest answer I am a jack-of-all-trades for IT
feels a bit embarrassing.
An expert for decision-making who cannot decide what she is doing as a profession?

Hands-on
IT consulting is always connected to code. I love to find my way into new projects, to explore code and data base structures. I always develop my concepts and architecture designs along user interaction, coding and business strategy.
Dynamics
Outstanding results come from iteration, not matter if it's science or IT projects. It needs courage to question previous decisions and persistence to redo code or other pieces of work.
Science
I have always been a scientist in my heart, even if I question the formal system. I stay in contact with other scientists: at conferences, as a coach or for teaching.
Building bridges
In science I loved to do interdisciplinary research. Afterwards I filled different roles, from UX design to strategy consulting. I can translate between disciplines and get everyone on the same page.
Lasting
I love to work in varying projects. Therefore I am not interested to make myself irreplaceable for any client. My goal is to jump-start projects or help out of difficult situations, educating clients to solve subsequent problems without my help.
